1864 Dated Confederate Navy officers Sword CSN Naval - 1864 Dated Confederate Navy officers Sword CSN Naval Cutlass, American Civil War era. Probably altered in to a Naval cutlass from a longer Confederate used saber, with its triple branched brass guard and hilt mounts, and original wooden grip with thin heavily worn leather cover and thin brass wire bondage. Large fullered blade bearing markings CSN and 1864 at ricasso. Heavy patina and wear overall, and with an interesting brass mounted leather scabbard, possibly a later era marriage.
