Soldiers made sidearm fighting dagger with brass mounts and bone grips, front one with once inserted pistol image now lost. Long double edged blade of oval section, in its bayonet scabbard with Rode Island Militia designation. Cool piece, most likely made and used during American Civil War era.Total length in scabbard ( when scabbard is present, without scabbard otherwise) - 24.5”, length of the blade - 17.25”.
