Rare American Revolution era English Infantry Hanger - Rare American Revolution era English Infantry Hanger Sword with Regiment Name & Number. Very good Revolutionary war English short sword or hanger, engraved on the gilt brass hilt with regiment name for Lincoln Militia and a number on the other side which could possibly trace back to the sword's owner. With its lightly curved narrow fullered blade struck with a crowned 6 at ricasso. Very good condition for the age with nice uniform patina and light wear, a very rare and seldom encountered identified example.Total length including scabbard ( when scabbard is present) - 30.5”. Length of the blade - 24.75”.
