Civil War Confederate used Model 1818 ”N. Starr” - Civil War Confederate used Model 1818 ”N. Starr” Cavalry SwordScarce Starr cavalry saber later altered by a confederate soldier or possibly even an officer, with addition of a triple-branched cavalry guard and brass brackets to the pommel and iron scabbard. Blade of typical Starr saber pattern with well preserved markings and good steel finish with light smooth patina. Good condition overall on this rare working Confederate battle saber. Total length including scabbard ( when scabbard is present) - 38.25”. Length of the blade - 32.25”.
