A Very Good 18th C. Islamic Turkish PALA / Kilij Sword - A Rare and fine example, in its richly gold gilt brass mounts with engraved floral decorations, horn grips of traditional Ottoman style. Wearing a very high quality blade of distinctive form, blade exhibits active damascus steel patterns and gold inlaid calligraphy to both sides of ricasso, also having rare chiseled decorations to the lower blade. Beautiful saber with a slightly unique blade style compare to most Pala swords of the period. Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 32 3/4”, Blade Length : 25 1/2”
