Very Long 17th C. Spanish or Italian Cup-hilt Rapier - Large 17th C. Spanish or Italian Cup-hilt Rapier Sword with Flamboyant Blade. A wonderful large example with a chiseled steel guard showing openwork floral motifs. Mounted with a long double edged blade of rare flamboyant configuration, each side of ricasso with struck Crowned ”S” maker mark. Restorations to the hilt, otherwise a very attractive and rare sword.
