High Grade 1805 era English Royal Navy Officers Sword - High Grade 1805 era English Royal Navy Officers Sword with Damascus Blade. A lovely example of very elegant form, dating from the early Napoleonic era, having fancy gilt brass mounts with intricate details, knuckle-bow adorned with a silver Prince of Whales Crown. Slender straight single edged blade showing evidence of Damascus steel construction. In its original leather scabbard with replaced period drag, throat having engraved maker's name on the back. A very attractive and scarce example. Total length (inside scabbard if present) :31 1/2” Blade length : 26 7/8”
