See images for details.    Artist Bio: Itzik Benshalom (1945–2018) came to sculpture by an unusual route: he founded a bronze foundry in Israel in 1967 with his brother-in-law and spent roughly fifteen years casting other artists' work before beginning his own, which gave him complete technical command of lost-wax casting. As he put it, the day he stopped doing other people's work and cast his first bronze was the day his life began. His sculpture is figurative and centred on human relationship — couples, family, embrace — with forms simplified and smoothed and faces often reduced to planes, so that gesture and posture carry the work rather than likeness.
