Surface scratches to the frame.    Artist Bio: Mylo Quam (1941–1996) worked in the Woodstock, New York region. He was self-taught as a painter; his formal education was in Classics, with a scholarship in Greek studies at sixteen and study at Brandeis, Boston University and NYU, and he worked as an actor on television and Broadway before turning to painting in the late 1960s. His pictures are densely composed allegorical figure paintings drawing on mythology, religion, the occult, Shakespeare and pop culture, filtered through wit and erotic charge — critics have reached for Botticelli and Bosch on one side, Schiele and Klimt on the other. He produced 761 oils and collages and held thirty-five solo exhibitions.
