(3pc) Tiffany Studios ”Grapevine” Desk Set - The lot includes an ink well, utility box, and a pen holder.    Dimensions of Pen Holder: 5 1/4” Wide x 4 1/4” Tall x 2” Deep   Condition: The bronze is patinated throughout. One of the feet of the pen holder is bent inwards and three of the hooks for pens are broken off. The box is missing one foot. No chips or cracks to the slab glass pieces. Please see images for details.    About: Tiffany Studios made roughly two dozen bronze desk-set patterns, sold as individual pieces rather than fixed sets — so a matched group in one pattern and one finish is what collectors chase. “Grapevine, ” designed about 1899 and made into the 1920s, is etched bronze openwork of leaves and vine over mottled green slag glass. The bronze was patinated and then painted green, and because that green wears unevenly with handling, an authentic surface is mottled rather than uniform.
