Otherwise, the powder box is in very good condition.    About: Rene Lalique (1860–1945) was the leading Art Nouveau jeweler in Paris before he turned to glass, and his frosted relief set against clear ground became one of the defining looks of Art Deco. Pieces from his lifetime are signed “R. Lalique”; production after his death in 1945, under his son Marc, is marked “Lalique France.” “Cleones” takes its name from a genus of weevil — the decoration is beetles, not flowers, an insect subject carried over from Lalique's Art Nouveau jewelry.
