Born in Girona, Spain, Guino studied at the Llotja School of Fine Arts in Barcelona before moving to Paris in 1910. In 1913, he began working with Renoir, transforming Renoir’s paintings and sketches into sculptures. Guino’s work blends Impressionist influences with classical forms, characterized by fluid lines and soft, harmonious shapes. After Renoir’s death, Guino continued to create sculptures in bronze, marble, and terracotta, focusing on figures and mythological themes. His work is held in major collections worldwide.
