Artist Bio: Bull was primarily a portrait photographer who created and is most recognized for a collection of 12 hand-colored portraits of the Chiefs of the Blackfeet Nation in approximately 1915. His career began in St. Paul, Minnesota, but his passion for photography led to travels across country documenting his various subjects. His work not only documents but also celebrates the individuality and diversity of the people he photographs.
