Artist Bio: The Saturday Evening Girls Paul Revere Pottery was a significant ceramics studio operating in Boston during the early 20th century. Founded by Edith Brown and Mary Malloy, it provided employment opportunities and artistic training to immigrant girls, particularly from Italian and Jewish communities. The pottery produced by the Saturday Evening Girls reflected a fusion of traditional craftsmanship with modern sensibilities, drawing inspiration from both European decorative arts and American Arts and Crafts movements. Renowned for their hand-painted pieces, including vases, plates, and bowls, each item showcased a unique blend of creativity and skill, reflecting the diverse cultural backgrounds of the artisans.
