2 Gallon Blue Decorated E & LP Norton Jug - 5 Chips around the opening. Most are towards the front. Crazed in areas. Right side of the bottom edge is 2 green drips of glaze. Bottom has a ”crack” in the firing. Appears to be original to the piece Stamped E&LP Norton Bennington VT 2. Norton is not fully stamped. Floral design blue decoration. 15 inches tall. Some roughness on the bottom edge. Darker in color going down to the bottom. Provenance: Acquired from a single owner private estate collection originating in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The collection was carefully stored in Slatington, Pennsylvania for approximately five years prior to being consigned to the auction house. The consignor noted that the collection had long-standing ties to the Gettysburg region, reflecting a deep appreciation for historical preservation and Americana.
