Antique Kangxi Chinese Porcelain Vase 1720's - A Chinese blue and white porcelain vase decorated with a continuous landscape scene in under glaze blue. The imagery depicts rocky outcrops, trees, and water, with a small figure shown navigating a boat, creating a calm, scenic composition that wraps around the body. Also decorated with a mountainous setting.The vase features a baluster-form or Yen Yen style body rising to a flared rim above a narrow neck, with patterned borders at the rim and foot. Piece shows well with age-related wear and possible period conservation. Also including minor surface marks and wear to the foot rim, and a rub or chip to top edge of rim. By comparison, similar vases preserved in flawless condition have achieved $20,000-$30,000 at leading international auction houses.
