GERMAN INFANTRY ASSAULT BADGE - German Infantry Antique Silver Assault Badge, with correct pin back, a very nice mid war combat award. These badges were originally issued from 1939 onwards, and was awarded to soldiers of both the Waffen-SS and the Wehrmacht Heer. This is the Silver Class version, which was awarded to the following: Soldiers who had participated in 3 or more infantry assaults, or counter attacks. Soldiers who had engaged in hand-to-hand combat in an assault position. Soldiers who had participated in 3 or more armed recon missions.
