F.W.I.L . Lundy Brothers: Sheepshead Bay NY: Circa 1940s - F.W.I.L. Lundy Brothers Restaurant was a seafood restaurant located at 1901 Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. The restaurant was owned by Frederick William Irving Lundy, a gay restaurateur who operated the restaurant from the 1930s to the 1970s. The restaurant was constructed in 1934 as part of the redevelopment of the Sheepshead Bay waterfront. At the time, it was one of the largest restaurants in the United States, seating between 2,400 and 2,800 people.
