Antique Sterling Embroidery Scissors: French18thC - Antique Sterling Silver Embroidery Scissors: French Romanticism.Figural embroidery scissors in the Romantic style of the late 18th to the mid-19th century. Hallmarks on both blades are well-worn and believed to represent the crown over D of 1788 to 1789. The male and female flower-gathering hikers remain highly detailed. Wear and loss of a minute section of the female figure ankle area are noted. The blade joint is created with a brass pivot pin that moves freely. Length 5.25 inches, figures are 1.5 inches high each, width at finger holds is 2.25 inches. Please refer to the images for the best determination of the condition.
