A selection of major collections throughout periods of American history - from infamy to victory, from the first pitch to the last strike.  This auction will include the newly discovered Courtney Collection of rare photographs from two generations including an extensive personal album of noted World War II original photographs by John Courtney.  Rare 1920s Babe Ruth photos promoting the film "Headin' Home" by Jack Courtney.  A large selection of militaria items including helmets, uniforms, and bags.

East German Police Helmet: 25 years East German Volkspolizei
  Helmet with Liner and Chin Strap. The helmet could possibly be surplus from the East German Police. The front of the helmet is marked to celebrate 25 years of east German Volkspolizei. The helmet does not contain any other stamps or markings. The liner and straps are in good condition. The helmet does have a small area of rust showing on the top of the shell. The helmet measures approximately 12.5 inches Long X 11 inches Wide X 7 inches High. Note: The Deutsche Volkspolizei, commonly known as the Volkspolizei or VoPo, was the national police force of the German Democratic Republic from 1945 to 1990. The Volkspolizei was a highly-centralized agency responsible for most civilian law enforcement in East Germany, maintaining 257,500 personnel at its peak.
