 Artist: Eagles

Album: Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) is the first compilation album by the American rock band the Eagles, released on February 17, 1976, by Asylum Records. The album contains a selection of songs from the Eagles' first four albums released in the period from the Eagles' formation in 1971 up to 1975. Certified 38 x Platinum by RIAA. Worldwide, the album has sold over 45 million copies as of 2020. Therefore, it's the best-selling greatest-hits album, as well as the third best-selling album of all time.

Artist: Queen

Album: A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 21 November 1975 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Elektra Records in the United States. Produced by Roy Thomas Baker and Queen, it was reportedly the most expensive album ever recorded at the time of its release. The cover artwork features the band's logo, which was designed by Mercury, on a white background. Certified Triple Platinum by RIAA.

Artist: Linda Ronstadt

Album: Prisoner In Disguise is Linda Ronstadt's sixth solo LP release and her second for the label Asylum Records. It followed Ronstadt's multi-platinum breakthrough album, Heart Like a Wheel, which became her first of three #1 albums on the Billboard album chart in early 1975. The album peaked on the Billboard album chart at #4. It also reached #2 on the country album chart, and has been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

 From the RIAA website:

RIAA’s historic Gold & Platinum Program defines success in the recorded music industry.

Originally conceived to honor artists and track sound recording sales, Gold & Platinum Awards have come to stand as a benchmark of success for any artist—whether they’ve just released their first song or Greatest Hits album. In the eighties, the development of CDs increased music sales once again and popular music went Platinum more than once. So we developed the multi-Platinum Award.

 About the Awards :

The Gold & Platinum Awards have been a pinnacle of success in the music industry since 1958. The awards below are earned by artists who have met rigorous standards, and recipients join the ranks of the most iconic recording artists.

 RIAA Gold and Platinum Certifications : Units and Date Established ;

Gold 500,000 1958 ; Platinum 1,000,000 1976 ; Multi-Platinum 2,000,000 (in increments of 1,000,000 thereafter) 1984.
