Rosy-cheeked, bearded, and with the appearance of health, wealth, and power. This is a fine example of the desirable portraiture of the period. Art is in fine antique condition, some darkening of the surface has occurred as expected, will benefit from light professional cleaning, canvas remains in good tension on period stretcher with biscuit and spline joinery.
