Indian Bronze Figure, Possibly Vajrapani (Chakna Dorje), 16th?18th C. - Small Indian bronze figure, 16th-18th century. A possible depiction of Vajrapani, a powerful protective bodhisattvas in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. The bodhisattva is shown seated with one arm extended and the body modeled in an erotic Tantric pose. Materials: Bronze Measurements: 2 1/2” H x 2” W Ex. Los Angeles Collection, Ex.
