Exceptional Gilt Bronze Figure of Vasudhara, 16th Century - Exceptional 16th century gilt bronze figure of Vasudhara, the goddess of abundance, seated in a meditative pose before a leaf shaped mandorla. The multi armed deity is finely cast with a serene face, jeweled crown, necklace, and ornamental body adornment, with several hands holding small ritual attributes. The surface retains traces of gilding and earlier polychrome decoration, giving the figure a rich devotional presence. A superb example, notable for its quality of casting, age, and refined detail.
