European Dagger & Sheath with Floral High Relief, 19th-20th C. - European dagger, late 19th to early 20th century. The dagger has a straight double edged steel blade with a tapered point, ornate metal hilt, curled quillons, and a raised figural mask at the guard. The grip and matching sheath are heavily decorated with raised floral scrollwork, masks, and classical style ornament. The sheath has a rounded ornamental tip and matching relief decoration throughout. Measurements: 6 1/2” blade Materials: Steel blade, decorated metal hilt and sheath Condition: Surface wear, dark patina, and scattered oxidation throughout. Decoration remains bold and well defined.
