Persian Etched Steel Shield, Late 19th - Early 20th - Persia, late 19th or early 20th century. Circular steel shield with four raised bosses, a rolled outer rim, and dense acid etched decoration across the face. The etched design includes floral scrollwork, figural scenes, animals, birds, and repeating border panels arranged around a central medallion. The surface has a dark patina with lighter areas where the etched decoration remains visible. Measurements 19” Materials: Steel Condition: Shows patina, oxidation, rubbing, scratches, and surface wear throughout. The etched decoration is worn in areas but remains visible across the face
