French Cuirass Model 1822 Sword Set, 19th C. - France, 19th century. Pair of French Model 1822 style cavalry swords with curved single edge fullered blades, brass guards, brass pommels, and dark leather wrapped grips. Each sword has a rounded brass guard with side branches and a slightly curved blade tapering to a pointed tip. No scabbards are present. Measurements 33.5” overall 28” blade Materials: Steel, complex brass, leather. Condition: Shows oxidation, patina, scratches, surface wear, and rubbing throughout. The grips show age related wear and the scabbards are not present.
