Pair of Gothic Brass Pricket Candlesticks, circa. 1460-1480 - German stamped Nuremberg type, late Gothic to early Renaissance period, 15th century, circa 1460-1480. Pair of brass pricket candlesticks, each with broad circular base, turned and ringed shaft, and wide drip pan fitted with a central iron pricket. The broad drip pans and tall prickets suggest use for large devotional or altar candles. Measurement approximately 24.5”H to top of pricket x 7.75”W at base Materials: Brass and Iron Prickets Condition: Age related wear, rubbing, oxidation, scattered dents, small rim chips, surface abrasions, and darkened patina throughout.
