Viking Forged Iron Battle Axe Head, 8th- 10th C. - Forged iron Viking battle axe head, 8th to 10th century. Featuring a curved lower profile, and integral socket form. The surface shows heavy archaeological oxidation, pitting, and encrustation throughout, consistent with age and burial exposure. The form includes a pronounced cutting edge and compact socket section, presented without haft. Measurements 5.5” Materials: Forged Iron Ex. Giustino Collection, Ex.
