Victorian Chamfron, 19th C. - Victorian, 19th century. Steel horse chamfron with shaped face plate, raised central boss, and flared cheek sections. The form is made to cover the front of a horse?s head and face, with cut out arched opening below the center. The surface has been polished and shows hammering, age, and irregular shaping throughout. Measurements 19”L 11”W Materials: Steel. Condition: Shows age, patina, oxidation, pitting, dents, scratches, bending, and surface wear throughout. Some edge wear and small losses are visible.
