Exquisite Silver Betel Nut Box & Case set - This stunning set features two beautifully crafted antique South Asian or Southeast Asian silver items. On the right, a distinctive saddle-shaped box betel nut container. It is designed to hold the ingredients for the traditional betel chew, such as the areca nut, lime paste and betel leaves. The piece features two main compartments and is adorned with elaborate, engraved scrollwork and floral motifs. Excellent antique condition with a beautiful patina consistent with age. On the left, A rectangular, hinged silver case intricately decorated in Asian motifs with embossing and engraved details. The lid features a striking, high relief design depicting what appears to be ancient scrolls or a book with three characters, framed by a decorative border.
