Early 20th Visayan Tenegre with Carabao Hilt - Visayas region, Philippines, circa 1900's. Fine Visayan Tenegre, a traditional Filipino short sword or large fighting knife. Curved single edged blade with a broad belly and narrow sharp tip. Thick spine ridge and subtle distal taper. Hilt crafted from a dark piece of carabao horn with hexagonal silver hilt. Size 23 1/4”, blade 18”, blade 6.50 mm at the hilt Condition: Good overall preserved condition, minor repair to hilt.
