Japanese Katana Sword & Scabbard - Excellent Japanese katana sword with scabbard, Shin Shinto period 1781-1876. Blade without proper polish. Tang with four holes and a dark very well aged patina, unsigned. Maru gata tsuba with pierced openwork. Handle in ray skin wrapped in tightly woven blue silk. Menuki of carp or sea creatures. Matching mounts to the collar and pommel depicting talismanic objects in silver and gold. Size 38” L, blade 28 1/4” L
