Antique Persian Lacquer Paper Mache Painting, Qajar Dynasty 1789-1925 - Persian / Islamic culture, Qajar Period 18th-19th century (specifically 1789 - 1925). Fine painting (not a cut down book cover) with four beautifully painted scenes of a royal figure with attendants. The top left with a green tints of a king embracing his wife. Top right the same king with a higher crown seated next to his queen enjoying tea. Lower left a resting king. Lower right the king again enjoying music with his queen. Size 18 7/8” W x 13 3/8” H Ex-Pasadena Collection Condition: Typical wear and losses for a lacquered panel. Does not appear to be cut from a book or otherwise.
