Etched German Parade Polearm, 16th C. Style - Detailed etched German parade partisan polearm, circa 16th century style. Etched to the face with a double headed eagle and coat of arms under the crown. The profile of an emperor above surrounded by scrolling and foliate motifs. Reverse and additional depiction of the coat of arms with the double headed eagle and a deeply groove armourer mark of a split tail cross. Polearm head a double sided wide blade that tapers significantly before a set of opposing curved spikes at either side. Mounted on a shaft with steel straps at either side.
