German Suit of Armour w/ Closed Helm
German full suit of plate armour with smooth German close helm. Skull one piece of hammered steel with a high comb. Visor with horizontal pierced mouth and eye slits. Heavy roped border to the lower section of the helm. Gorget with matching roping and hinged for opening. Matching arm defenses with right pauldron featuring a cut away section for the movement of the lance rest. Bulbous belly breastplate and gusset plates with large roped borders. Two piece Fauld with buckles attaching tassets all in matching roping. Chainmail section to the waist. Both leg defenses complete with matching decoration and components. Each sabaton well constructed and articulating with a vertical roped medial embossed section. Old wood base in oak. Exceptionally well made suit of armour. Overall Size 18" L x 18" W x 68" H, 20" Shoulder 14" Chest 28" Sleeve 30" Jacket Length
