British Infantry Officer's Sword, WWI George 5th - Early WWI British George 5th 1897 Infantry Officers sword with scabbard. Long straight single edge blade with wide fuller to center section. Blued finish and marked to the ricasso with a etched star and brass seal stamp. Guard in pierced and gilt brass openwork depicting the crown over (GV) for George the 5th. Grip in brass and brass twisted wire over ray skin. Size 40” L, blade 32” L Ex-Southern California Collection Condition: Typical wear and oxidization thoughtout. Scabbard with original mounts and leather.
