Imperial Japanese Army Dress Saber - Imperial Japanese army dress saber and scabbard. Scabbard in nickel finish with loses and oxidization. Single edged curved blade. Guard with gilt bronze a single downturned quillion and D shaped guard for the handle to a fitted pommel. Guard with a hinged reverse side plate, floral motifs and signed to the side of the blade. Some proof marks to the underside of the guard. Handle with white ray skin grp wrapped in gilt brass twisted wire. Size larger 34 1/2”, blade 27” L
