M 1840 NCO Civil War Sword, Marked 1865 - US Model 1840 NCO civil war sword marked to the ricasso. Ricasso stamped (US, J.C.W. 1865). Single edge straight blade with a wide shallow fuller. Handle in gilt brass with single bar over grip. Size 38 1/2” L, blade 31 1/4” L Ex-Southern California Collection Condition: wear and loss to finish overall with oxidization to the lower section of the blade.
