Spanish Etched Navaja Folding Knife, 18th/19th c.
Iberian Peninsula, Spanish Colonial Navaja fisherman's knife, late 18th or early 19th century. Favored by pirates and sailors alike during the Period of Sail. Beautifully formed folding knife with an etched blade of scrolling patterns and stamped with the signature of "Beauvoir" bladesmiths. Handle in brass with a clear shell and bone panels surrounded by gilt brass and inlaid to one section in silver. Size 13 1/4" L, blade 6" L
