Executioner's Sword, Zande or Boa peoples - Central Africa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, probably Zande or Boa peoples executioner's sword. Carved wood handle with a taper at either end. Blade is deeply curved single edge, dual raised ridges incised with linear detailing. Ricasso with two fuller, carved crescent protrusion. Forward section with a raised central ridge and double edged to the blade with vertical incising. L Size 31 1/4” L, blade 26” L. Label to handle reads Shotel West Africa Condition: Nice condition.
