Avian Form Pendant, Taino 1000CE - 1500CE - Pre-Colombian, Caribbean, Taino peoples 1000CE - 1500CE. Nicely formed avian pendant with a large pierced opening to the body. Skull in typical Taino style with deeply recessed darkened eyes, small protruding tail to the reverse. Size 2 1/4” L x 1 1/4” H Collected prior to 2008, ex-Lacy Gallery (Vanna & Lee Lacy collection), Los Angeles CA. Lacy Gallery was founded upon six decades of collecting ethnographic and fine art. Lee Lacy was a distinguished Hollywood producer of iconic TV series and commercials. Condition: Various chips and losses to the surface from age and use.
