Civil War M-1840s Saber w/ Scabbard, German Import
American Civil War M1840 saber or sword with scabbard. German Imported. Handle in gilt brass with patinated finish. Grip in leather over wood with a twisted wire over. Slight misshapen point to guard. Blade is a single edge with a shallow wide fuller. Scabbard in blackened steel with two belt loops retaining remnants of leather attachments. Size 43" L, blade 34 3/4" L
