Indian Toradar Matchlock Rifle - South Asia, India, Mughal Empire. Likely late 18th century or early 19th Century. Large rifle in a lighter or 'slim' format, instead of the traditional wall gun and probably used as an enlisted army rifle. Barrel is round with some linear detailing near the lock plate with a forward sight to the end of the barrel. Size overall 66” L, barrel 47” L Ex-California Collection Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use. Cracking to wood. Old signs of oxidization.
