North America, Native American, digging stick or snake stick. Bifurcated quartz crystal point affixed to wood shaft, carved in high relief to the upper section depicting a serpent. Some fiber weaving remains at neck of staff.

In various Native American spiritual practices, staffs or sticks are used as ritual tools or objects of power.
