Oceania, Papua New Guinea or Melanesia, Adze axe with a thick wooden handle and heavily resin covered rattan wrapped stone blade with a spacer to the interior. The hardstone is dark in color and very smooth. Size 20 1/2" L, stone 20 1/2" W, head 8 3/4" L
Known as versatile cutting tools used for woodworking and or as a hoe.
