Mindanao Moro 19-Wave Kris Sword w/ Scabbard - Southeast Asia, Philippines Archipelagos, Southern Philippines, likely Mindanao region. A heavy long and slender Moro kris sword. From the Sultanate of the Sulu, also known as Sulu Sea 19th century. Fine laminated steel blade with pierced openwork ricasso section, a silver inlaid band to one side and 19 waves overall. Collar in silver with fine resin covered fiber wrapping to the grip. Pommel in a large form carved from a reddish brown fruit wood. Scabbard in brown patina wood.
