Japanese Wakizashi Sword w/Scabbard
Nice and well lacquered Japanese wakizashi sword with scabbard, probably Edo period 1603 - 1868. The scabbard a red and black swirled traditional lacquer. Tsuba solid brass with a gilt edge and blackened interior. Textured fuchi fitting. Grip in a ribbed red dyed leather with three brass menuki Japanese characters to either side. Solid black lacquer kashira with an inlaid Japanese mon. Size 25" L, blade 17" L
