Chinese Dao Sword with Scabbard - Large Chinese Dao sword with scabbard probably of the Boxer Rebellion or later with an ebonized black leather wrapped scabbard mounted in steel. The handle with a ball end and painted black grip. The blade a long single edge with a thin fuller to upper section. The Chinese Dao, also known as the Chinese sabre, is a single-edged sword used for chopping and slashing. The blade is typically curved, but can also be straight. Daos are often wide at the end of the blade, and have a disc-shaped hand guard. Size 38 1/4” L, blade 28 7/8” L
