Long Barrel Pin-Fire Revolver Pistol, Belgian Proof 1810-1853 - Nice Belgian pinfire revolver with proof marks to the cylinder (ELG * ) in an oval. The barrel proof marked with (2*). Barrel is octagonal and rifled with another illegible proof to the left side and a sight half the length. A pinfire cartridge, a small pin protrudes from one side of the case. When the pin is struck by the hammer of the firearm the pin strikes a primer inside the cartridge causing a small primary explosion. That ignites the black powder inside the base of the cartridge and propels the bullet/shot. Size 10” L, barrel 5 3/4” L
